Tug

Tug

The fog reminded him of the winter's edge
how faster can the nightly riding be?
He felt the overthrow and painful sledge,
- the asphalt hit the rider departee.

The roar was heard amid the falling snow
the bike capsized - and hard he fell to slug
across the never reached horizons' glow
received her bridal kiss - the asphalt's tug.

He danced with her beneath the nimbus cloud
- enjoining the magnificence of waltz;
denoted valor granted fore, avowed,
ambrosial her remembrance was, and false.

Before time she became his fate in mists,
conceived their airy dance, surpassed treetops
a daughter of the woods, but never kissed
on fares unvisited, where searching stops.

Among the nimbus, celebrating Hall,
Collegiate was the fare's inviting dance,
trajectory redemptive, death-ride toll,
- was thoughtful neath the rainy tears, her glance.

So standing tall, amid the nightly shades,
recalled the margins that he raced upon,
three hundred for Persephone of Hades
to be his wed on skyline's denouement.

The bullocky V-engine echoes thence
amid the basalt rocks, atop the brae,
when riders pass across and fog is dense
upon his street-bike-fighter see him sway.

Marmalade Upon The Bread

Marmalade Upon The Bread

Marmalade upon the bread 7
- yet not there alone - 5
tempts the birds to taste the spread
search the unbeknown.

Stood before them, overwrought,
- Poetry and Art -
clever efforts led to naught
sweetness to impart.

Eunike

Eunike

The honorable senator of Rome
Petronius, a handsome man of wealth
for whom the poets held respectful gnome,
that contemplated 'bout the State's good health
like God was worshiped by the sightly maid
- Eunike; whose devotion was unpaid.

Unanswered her obedience and love,
uncherished and ignored transformed to pain;
tormented her young senses, made her rove,
- alone confessed, her flesh needs to abstain
- his handsome thus admired and marble bust,
apprised her instincts, highborn and robust.

Evincible, unrequited pleas,
the maid exalted to the sovereign sire,
his despotism she served sole to reprise,
thus punished by the whip for her desire,
accepts the lashes whispering his name
with deponent her dedicated flame.

The punisher was ordered to beware,
not to cause scathes upon her perfect skin;
her sire's ingratitude could not forswear
love's burning tears she shed, for was a sin
to disobey her master's potent will
- infusing lashes deftly to instill.

Alone Eunike stares at his stone bust;
his handsomeness could cause a Sol's eclipse;
oh, may the Fates milleflorus entrust
their gifts upon his brow and much loved lips;
her arms embracing him, the maid's face couth,
shall osculate the marble bust's cold mouth.

Honey Crepes

Honey Crepes

The dancing pigeon flew the coop
assaying escapades
he heard that far, in Guadalupe
would meet poetic maids.

Aboard the boat he met three chicks
that loved his tango steps
and one and two they intermix'd
enjoying honeyed crepes.

Hence honey-spread upon their tips
of tongues affected most
the three that felt the moon eclipse
and their enchanting host.

The stars were blinking in the dark
- small lanterns thrown above -
and in their eyes reflected spark
bestowed on those who love.

Celestial figures they became
egressing from their dreams
thus seagulls heard the maids exclaim
their Anapestic reams.

A pigeon of the honeyed dance
aboard the pepper'd sloop
experienced a chic-romance,
en route to Guadalupe.

Primrose

Primrose

The clockwork ticks transformed to fog and air
While dusk absorbed the beacon's blinking signs,
- Surreal and indefinite designs
With tangible his steady flash and flare;
Beneath the kind, retentive cloak of chance,
- He breathed her in, her aural scent and glance.

Inside the tavern sea-men ordered drinks;
Amidst the tulips of the hazy smoke,
He felt the night with owls' persistent croak,
And lady Sadness 'pon the starboard brinks;
Invisible the night descended slopes
In quietness with dark, elusive scopes.

Her primrose scent - ambrosian sorrow's gate,
Remote Paradisos and range of soul
Perfumed her whiff surpassed, and burned like coal,
He clenched the glass and drunk the dark brusque straight,
The tumbler shattered - deep inhaled her scent,
- With unrelenting his blood thrash torment.

The night was dense; inside the mists he drew
With red drops dropping from the deep palm cut
A wraith, she vanished while her louvres were shut
The nightfall's emptiness inside him grew
Caressed the heavy door, her splendor stained
The primrose scent inside his mind ingrained.

And she descended - Nymph the fates had graced;
Betimes he breathed the scent of night primrose,
Same carnal prayer and adytum disposed,
Her sacrosanct of pathos' splendor traced;
With flash reflecting in her eyes' domain
The primrose scent dispersed inside the rain.

Since Prior Times

Since Prior Times

The sea-waves touch her open palms;
along the shore, the waters bid
when stormy sea henceforth becalms,
and tide engulfs what skies forbid.

When solemn eyes their oaths avow
and roses beckon on their dream,
she reaches out on drifting prow
aboard their trip's perpetual stream.

Cause thoughts, like boats, may drift amiss;
for those who liv'd in former realms,
eternal love's confession is,
the kiss of waves, upon the palms.

And those who loved, forever pledge
inside the mists, since prior times,
and race upon the margins' edge
like riders gone on skyward climbs.
